SMS & Messaging Policy

Last updated: 2026-06-15

This policy describes the LotHours text-message (SMS) program: who sends it, what kinds of messages it sends, how often, and how you control it. It applies to messages sent and received through LotHours (“we”, “us”), a workforce-management platform for car dealerships.

Program & brand

Brand: LotHours.
Program name: LotHours Workforce Notifications.
Who receives messages: dealership employees who have individually opted in to receive workforce text messages from their employer through LotHours.

What kinds of messages we send

The LotHours SMS program is transactional only. It is used to coordinate work between an employee and their site managers. We do not use SMS for marketing, advertising, or promotional content. Message types include:

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your shifts and activity. There is no fixed number of messages per week or per month — you may receive messages around your scheduled shifts and whenever attendance coordination is needed.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. LotHours does not charge you to send or receive these messages, but your mobile carrier may charge for messages and data according to your plan.

How to opt out — reply STOP

You can cancel the SMS program at any time. Text STOP to any LotHours message. After you send STOP, we will send you one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will no longer receive workforce SMS from LotHours. To rejoin, reply START at any time, or ask your manager to re-send your opt-in. You may continue to use the LotHours mobile app and in-app messaging after you opt out of SMS.

How to get help — reply HELP

For help, text HELP to any LotHours message, or email support@lothours.com. HELP returns a short message with our contact details and a pointer to this policy.

How we obtain your consent

Consent to receive LotHours SMS is given by each employee individually, for their own mobile number. Your employer does not opt you in on your behalf — you confirm your own enrollment within the LotHours app or by replying to a confirmation message. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of employment and is not required to use the LotHours app, and you can withdraw it at any time by replying STOP. We do not share opt-in consent or mobile numbers with third parties for their own marketing.

Carrier disclaimer

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to your carrier’s network and is not guaranteed.

Privacy

Your mobile number and message content are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your mobile information, and we do not share it with third parties for their independent marketing.
